Trees Atlanta is a nonprofit working to protect, diversify, and educate on the tree canopy in the greater Atlanta area. They initially came to NMC to develop a new brand for them, and the process went so well we ended up doing a new website design for them as well!
I led a full branding process with Trees Atlanta to help develop a brand that helped better resonate with the multiple age groups they work with. In addition to creating a logo and mark, we created their color palette, typography, illustration and photo styles, and created an animated logo. It has been fun to see them utilize this new brand in everything from t-shirts to banners to car wraps.
After completing the branding process, I worked on a complete redesign of their website. Their organization has tons of great events, resources, and ways to get involved, and that really became the inspiration behind the new design. The design really puts their audience first in helping to engage and educate utlizing things like individual program pages, and a calendar that lets users filter what sort of events they may be interested in participating in by type, program, and weekday. The design itself incorporates a lot of fun elements from their branding, such as a curved masking effect on many images and bright bold colors, that helps to convey a youthful feeling and appeal to a younger audience they want to capture.
